Job Title: Part-Time Interpreter (English–Xhosa)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional and reliable Part-Time Interpreter to support HR processes by facilitating accurate communication between English and Xhosa speakers. The primary focus of this role is interpreting during hearings, disciplinary meetings, and other HR-related discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, impartial interpretation between English and Xhosa during hearings, disciplinary meetings, and other HR-related sessions.
Ensure that all parties fully understand the proceedings while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Assist HR personnel in conveying messages clearly and accurately in both languages.
Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Xhosa (spoken and understood) is essential.
Prior experience in interpretation, ideally in an HR, legal, or corporate setting.
Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain impartial and professional during sensitive discussions.
Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent; further language or interpretation training is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Part-time; hours will depend on scheduled hearings and HR requirements.
Flexibility to attend hearings on short notice may be required.
Remuneration:
Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed during the hiring process).
