We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator with strong Pastel knowledge to provide comprehensive payroll, HR, and administrative support across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, HR compliance, and efficient office administration.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration
  • Process end-to-end payroll using Pastel Payroll

  • Calculate all earnings including overtime, LOA, standby, and allowances

  • Balance payroll and process payroll batches

  • Prepare and distribute payslips

  • Maintain and update leave schedules and capture leave on Pastel

  • Complete leave forms for all staff

  • Compile payroll reports per branch

  • Reconcile and control petty cash on a monthly basis

HR & Compliance
  • Prepare staff contracts, appointment letters, and termination letters

  • Complete and submit UI19 forms

  • Liaise with Bargaining Councils

  • Manage Employment Equity documentation

  • Process PAYE via SARS eFiling

  • Handle Workmen’s Compensation submissions

  • Book annual and ad-hoc medicals for staff

Administration & Office Support
  • Answer incoming calls and take messages

  • Assist with upgrading and managing phone lines

  • Order office stationery and PPE

  • Organise couriers for PPE and critical documentation

  • Compile purchase orders

  • Manage general filing and record keeping

  • Process credit applications

  • Assist with tenders when required

  • Maintain job cards for standby staff

  • Purchase staff groceries and toiletries when required

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in Payroll and HR Administration

  • Strong working knowledge of Pastel Payroll (non-negotiable)

  • Experience with SARS eFiling, PAYE, UI19, and statutory compliance

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working across multiple branches

  • Knowledge of Bargaining Council processes

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
