A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
, based at Life St James Hospital
, reporting to Liesel Smyth
, Unit Manager
. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health /Nursing legislation.

• Critical Outputs:
  Ensure effective quality management systems by attending and participating in Q programs and ensuring induction training is carried out.
• Critical Outputs:
  Ensure monthly Q evaluator cards are completed and report to the shift leader or unit manager.
• Critical Outputs:
  Attend and participate in review and ward meetings to ensure conformance to QMS audit standards.
• Critical Outputs:
  Perform, understand and comply with the company infection control standards to adhere to PPE standards and procedures.
• Critical Outputs:
  Adhere to safety measures.
• Operational Efficiency:
  Ensure correct and accurate stock administration.
• Operational Efficiency:
  Correctly report patient movements on discharge or transfer.
• Operational Efficiency:
  Ensure correct and proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
• Operational Efficiency:
  Ensure personal absenteeism is minimised and justified.
• Operational Efficiency:
  Work flexible hours to minimise agency costs and assist other departments as needed.
• Quality Patient Care:
  Perform and complete tasks to maximize patient care.
• Quality Patient Care:
  Ensure patient hygiene, comfort and safety are measured in accordance with the nursing care plan.
• Quality Patient Care:
  Follow correct techniques and wear PPE to promote healing of wounds and fractures.
• Quality Patient Care:
  Monitor and record patient intake of fluids.
• Quality Patient Care:
  Ensure the management and preparation of surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Relationship Management:
  Build and maintain healthy relationships with internal and external customers and support all new staff members with the orientation program.

• Needs to be registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC.
• Current registration with the relevant professional / regulatory body.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry; its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
• Computer proficiency.
• Driver’s license and ability to travel.
