The Senior Warehouse Manager reports to the Division Manager and is responsible for planning and directing the work of a specific department(s) in accordance with the annual business plan. The Senior Manager assigns work to the Manager, monitors their work, and takes corrective action when necessary. The Senior Warehouse Manager may perform of job duties given by the Division Manager of the department.
Roles/Responsibilities/Functions- Provide a safety-first work environment for all associates.
- Establish operation goals according to customer needs.
- Responsible for the oversight of multiple facilities, the site location management and business objectives.
- Manage prepare and present business plan activities and results.
- Define, implement and track Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of the processes, changes implemented and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Manage the manpower for specific department and perform space and equipment planning processes to ensure maximum efficiencies.
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
- Develop an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations and accountability to ensure adherence to all company policies, ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards.
- Perform any other job duties given by the Manager, when necessary, in order to meet company standards and company/customer needs/demands.
- Hold the title of Manager or have at least 5 years of previous management experience.
- Possess knowledge of material service, warehousing and transportation functions, and administrative software applications.
- Expert-level knowledge and experience in Inventory and Warehouse Management processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage one’s own time and the time of others.
- Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions in order to choose the most appropriate actions.
- Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
