NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (NXAL) Operations Departments operate in a warehouse, or a manufacturing environment and associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices.
They move about within the facility and may travel to other locations.
- Apply engineering knowledge to develop, improve and optimize existing process and equipment.
- Acquire, analyze and interpret extensive data to support decision making.
- Exhibits high aptitude for analytical problem-solving.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Maintain department budget, forecasting, and maintain monthly budget.
- Drive succession planning and talent development within the department.
- Conveys information effectively through formal and informal documents with team members, both internal and external to NXAL, using appropriate communication protocols; obtains approval to proceed with proposed action plans.
- Ensure all projects and departmental activities are delivered with high quality, on-time, on-budget, with a high degree of customer satisfaction and in alignment with business goals.
- Lead design, installation, commission, validation, and start-up of new systems and equipment as well as maintaining and promoting innovation.
- Conduct economic analysis and feasibility studies for new equipment, investment and process improvement.
- Ability to provide assistance to engineering staff.
- Manage, train, and mentor lower-level engineers to ensure timely completion and quality of tasks and projects assigned.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and or shifts to accommodate business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Logistics).
- 5 + years of related engineering experience.
- or 8+ years of related experience in engineering with a two-year degree.
- MOST certified or become MOST certified within the first three months.
- Auto-CAD certified.
- Frequently sitting for long periods of time working on a computer.
- Willing to work overtime on short notice.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Capable of bending, stretching, or assuming awkward positions.
- Required to wear safety glasses and steel-toed shoes and other protective equipment.
