Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. located in East Liberty, OH. The accountant reports to the corporate controller and is responsible for maintaining accounting records and keeping accounting reports.

• Manage operating lease and capital lease schedules
• Make the quarterly sales tax payment to the State of Ohio
• Record payroll entries into the General Ledger
• Review and reconcile fixed assets between the fixed asset system and the general ledger
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for Nippon
• Review accounts payable batches ensuring that invoices are accurately recorded into the correct general ledger account
• Prepare monthly financial statements and accompanying notes to management
• Prepare labor schedules reflecting actual expense against budget and forecast
• Work with external year-end auditors, providing them with the voluminous information that they request and ultimately procuring the finalized income statements
• Monthly bank reconciliations and review and detail the weekly cash flow report
• Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet general ledger accounts
• Work with CPA firm to file annual tax return
• Prepare monthly allocations, and journal entries assigned
• Prepare invoice detail as assigned for United Way, Teledoc, Unum, Eyemed, AFLAC, Berkshire Life Insurance, and any other invoices assigned
• Prepare monthly accounts payable accrual
• Prepare annual 1099's
• Provide a professional environment with relation to both external and internal customers
• When necessary, this position may be required to perform other functions as required to meet the company’s and/or our customer's needs/demands

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Prior accounting experience is a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
• Ability to multi-task, manage one’s own time and the time of others.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
