Industrial Electrician - East Lansing Area

Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and machinery.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions in production equipment and control systems.
• Install, modify, and upgrade electrical conduit, wiring, fixtures, and control components.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation for system analysis and repair.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies.
• Calibrate and adjust electrical instruments, sensors, and control devices for optimal operation.
• Document all maintenance, repair, and installation activities accurately in maintenance logs.

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other industrial control systems.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical safety codes (e.g., NFPA 70E) and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• Proficiency in PLC programming and development (e.g., Allen-Bradley Logix 5000, Siemens S7).
• Experience with industrial robotics maintenance, troubleshooting, or programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB).
• Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo systems.
• Certification or extensive experience with Arc Flash safety (NFPA 70E compliance).
