Slide Operator – East Lansing Family Aquatic Center

Assure the safety of the Aquatic Center customers in and around the facility, including water slide operations, under the supervision of Head Staff. All training provided.

• Primary responsibilities are safety and public relations.
• Control water slide traffic and usage
• Operate the admissions table, verifying payment, and complete wrist banding responsibilities.
• Maintain a safe environment in and around the aquatic facility.
• Enforce all facility rules and policies effectively and equally.
• Refer customer service issues to the Manager on duty.
• Attend and participate in mandatory meetings and in-service training.
• Provide positive, courteous, and helpful service to guests and fellow staff.
• Perform cleaning/sanitizing of restrooms and facility as well as trash removal.
• Perform facility equipment inspections.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Age 16 years or older.
• Wear city-issued uniform properly while on duty.
• Attend mandatory city-provided CPR and First Aid training.
• Ability to work and communicate positively with all ages.
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
• Available and willing to work various shifts 7 days a week (including weekends/holidays).
