Welder - East Lansing Area

Salary Range: $40,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine specifications.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and adherence to design specifications.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to production requirements.

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks, including lifting and working in various positions.
• Experience with quality inspection of welds to meet specified standards.
• Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1) highly preferred.

• Experience with light fabrication, fitting, or assembly.
• Advanced blueprint and schematic interpretation skills.
• Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
• Basic quality inspection experience using measuring tools.
• Experience with multiple welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick) or exotic materials.
