To support the Health and Wellness Officer by maintaining critical facets of the department. Maintain a positive professional image at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Scheduling including Holiday Rotation.
- Working holidays as assigned by Health and Wellness Officer.
- Taking calls for staff call‑ins and assisting with finding staff replacements to ensure staffing ratios are in compliance with community needs.
- Assisting as a personal care partner or personal care specialist on the floor when staffing ratios are not in compliance with community needs.
- Reporting all staff call offs to Health and Wellness Officer.
- Daily auditing of ADL’s, Medicaid Waiver Documentation, and filing.
- Weekly cart audits and medication refills/reconciliation.
- Auditing monthly vitals and weights.
- Staff training and oversight of training documentation for employee file.
- Completion of chart building from admission paperwork and break down of charts when directed.
- Coordinating with partnering physician groups for community member appointments.
- Coordinating the set up of labs as ordered by physicians.
- Ensuring all new orders are faxed to appropriate pharmacy and organized, delivered and reviewed by Health and Wellness Officer.
- Completing all inventory for Health and Wellness supplies and ordering as designated by Health and Wellness Officer.
Job Duties or Responsibilities
- Occasional errands.
- Assisting community members as needed.
- Ability to assist and supervise during an emergency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school or three years related experience and or equivalent combination of education and training.
Work ExperienceExperience in assisted living. Type 60+ words a minute with accuracy. Excellent PC skills; competent in Microsoft Word and Excel software packages. Working knowledge of copy machine, fax, laser printer.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, staff, community members and their families. Must be able to speak, read and write and use Basic English Skills.
Physical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. Required to assist with community member care needs.
Additional InformationMust be able to collaborate with colleagues, multi‑task, coordinate and accomplish assigned job duties.
