About

the EDL Internship Program

The EDL internship program provides students with a meaningful opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. Interns are immersed in real project work, supported by experienced mentors, and exposed to a variety of learning opportunities across the business.

By the end of the program, participants will have developed practical skills, industry insight, and a stronger foundation for their future careers.

Duration:

Approximately 12 weeks (May – August)

Structure:

Each intern will lead or contribute to a core project within their field of interest, while also gaining exposure to other business functions across EDL. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their project outcomes and key learnings to EDL leadership.

Environmental Compliance Internship

Key Responsibilities

Interns supporting the Environmental Compliance team will contribute to a variety of activities that help ensure EDL’s operations meet regulatory and environmental standards. Responsibilities may include:

  • Support with maintaining recordkeeping and emission tracking,
  • Assist with organizing documentation for permits, inspections and compliance review,
  • Help gather data for environmental reports and audits,
  • Assist with waste and spill tracking and reporting,
  • Participate in site visits to observe equipment, operations and environmental controls,
  • Explore relevant regulatory laws to understand compliance obligations and emerging requirements, and
  • Participate in additional environmental and sustainability initiatives as assigned.
