Accounting Manager

Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions within a complex GAAP environment spanning multiple legal entities. This Accounting Manager role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who leads with a servant-leader mindset, prioritizing team development, collaboration, and support while maintaining high standards for accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple legal entities

+ Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations

+ Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries

+ Review and approve financial reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy across entities

+ Manage complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, accruals, allocations, and reserves

+ Serve as a servant leader to the accounting team-providing coaching, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative, accountable environment

+ Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Coordinate with external auditors and support audit and review engagements

+ Partner cross-functionally with finance, tax, and operational teams to resolve accounting issues

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis

Requirements

+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a financial or accounting role.

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

+ Progressive accounting experience in a complex GAAP, multi-entity environment

+ Strong experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and entity-level reporting

+ Demonstrated people leadership style focused on mentorship, accountability, and team development
