Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Yard & Warehouse Associate to join our East Hartford team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including loading and unloading materials, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position plays a key role in operational efficiency and directly impacts customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with filling and loading rental equipment for on-site pickup and deliveries
  • Receive, verify, and process incoming materials; enter inventory into the system
  • Stock, organize, label, and replenish inventory in yard and warehouse areas
  • Assist with intercompany transfers, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized yard and warehouse areas
  • Assist with rental equipment check-ins and check-outs as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to contractors, drivers, and internal teams
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient branch operations and team success.
Qualifications
  • Forklift operation experience required
  • Prior experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or yard operations preferred
  • Basic knowledge of small equipment and construction materials is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work in all weather conditions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
