Physical Security Specialist

Overview

$60K - $100K/year. 100% onsite. Requires at least an active SECRET security clearance to start.

Kelly Government Solutions is hiring for a physical security specialist on a federal government contract with our customer in East Hartford, CT. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

• Monitor contractor performance at secure facility construction projects to ensure materials and methods used are in compliance with applicable guidance, specifications, and regulations
• Supplement site access controls to ensure only authorized personnel access a secure facility construction site
• Document secure facility construction progress in accordance with guidance provided by the Physical and/or Site Security Manager
• Coordinate security system maintenance and locksmith services, including lock maintenance and associated escorting
• Assist the Physical Security Manager with installations and maintenance of access control and security management systems
• Escort construction and/or physical security-related maintenance personnel within access-controlled areas as needed

• Three (3) + years of experience in physical security, facility compliance, project management, or construction management
• Knowledge of physical security standards to include but not limited to ICD 705, construction processes, and technical security systems
• Excellent communication and coordination skills related to working with government officials, contractors, and internal teams

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, construction management, project management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of facility accreditation processes
• Familiarity with government regulations and standards (e.g., ICD 705, TEMPEST)
• Proficiency in Lenel OnGuard administration and IDS/ACS hardware management
• Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) certification
• Experience in guard force training (contracted and proprietary)

• Ability to work in construction environments and monitor on-site activities
• Occasional on-call availability for security incidents or urgent compliance needs
