Senior Quality Inspector – Hands-On Leadership Role

We are an AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 certified job shop located in East Hartford with a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality precision parts for the automotive, medical, military/defense, marine, and commercial industries. This is a working leadership position
. You won’t be stuck behind a desk—you’ll be out on the floor ensuring quality standards are met every day.

You will:

• Actively maintain and uphold AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR quality standards
• Perform and oversee first piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Work directly with inspectors, mentoring and supporting them on the floor
• Handle non-conformances and corrective actions hands-on
• Manage gage control and tooling calibration schedules
• Collaborate with production to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding quality matters

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems in real time, being involved in the manufacturing process, and leading by example.

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Quality Control
• Aerospace industry background strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements
• Comfortable communicating with customers and vendors
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and team-driven
• Someone who prefers being actively involved in operations rather than confined to an office
