Job SummaryAs a Quality Engineer at Cyient, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our products and services. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and systems to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans for various stages of the product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing and delivery.
- Conduct root cause analysis for product defects, process inefficiencies, and customer complaints, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate quality requirements into product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory standards.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and to report on overall quality performance.
- Develop and deliver quality-related training to internal teams and external suppliers.
- Participate in supplier qualification and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure the quality of supplied materials and components.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection records, audit reports, and corrective action plans.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in quality engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering services environment.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys, and Lean/Six Sigma.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across diverse teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus.
