Overview
2+ years of manufacturing background, preferably in Aerospace. Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and documents and proficient with computer systems. Ability to pay exceptional attention to detail and have the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time. Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all level employees.
Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively. Experience using dotpeen, handheld dotpeen, vibropeen, and electrotech equipment for marking parts. Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment; organizational and time management skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints, operation sheets, set-up sheets, etc. preferred. Machining background helpful, but not required. If your expertise is different from the above?

- Perform skilled bench work to bring complex parts with tight tolerance to customer specifications by deburring, blending, sanding with hand tools and machinery, and adjusting parts, as needed, prior to inspection.
- Drill, rivet and assemble parts to close tolerance.
- Utilize measuring devices to gauge and measure proper specifications and conformity of manufactured parts, as well as determine necessary steps to correct any non-conformance parts processed. Work with engineers, managers and quality personnel to resolve problems and ensure conformance parts.
- Use and interpret complicated prints, drawings and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts, as well as complete and sign work orders identifying the operations performed
- Follow directions on blueprints, operation sheets, set-up sheets, etc. and mark parts using dotpeen, vibropeen or electroetch marking instruments based on customer requirements.
- Inspect parts to ensure marking meets customer requirements per blueprint, operation sheets, or set-up sheets.
- Inspect parts for visual defects and red marks left behind by previous inspector. Red marks indicate that a defect had been spotted but was corrected and should therefore be removed.
- Maintain logbooks as required by customer and Barnes Aerospace.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
