CNC Milling Machinist; 2nd Shift

Overview

Position details and required qualifications for a CNC Milling Operator. The candidate will set up, program and operate CNC multi-axis milling machines, working on parts 12 inches or over in diameter, preferably in an aerospace environment. Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri.

• Set up and operate complex milling jobs with minimal supervision, ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements.
• Make necessary modifications or adjustments to tooling and programs.
• Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
• Verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges and dial calipers.
• Hold tight tolerances associated with the machining of precision parts.
• Work from established practices and overhaul manual instructions and procedures to perform a variety of duties to prepare parts for subsequent operations.

• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC multi-axis milling machines.
• Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment.
• Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
