Project Manager - Facilities / Space Planning (AutoCAD Focus)

We are seeking a Project Manager with strong AutoCAD skills to support facility reconfigurations, workspace planning, and project oversight. This role involves coordinating layout designs, managing contractors, preparing bid documents, and ensuring all work aligns with safety, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management & Space Planning – Prepare existing and proposed layouts using AutoCAD, including seating changes, conference room configurations, capacities, and access points.
- Update and revise designs based on customer feedback.
- Ensure final asbuilt corrections are updated in AutoCAD, seating management tools, and documentation systems.
- Procurement & Construction Oversight – Prepare bid documents for construction work, equipment, and materials.
- Lead bidder walkthroughs and respond to questions/RFIs.
- Conduct pre‑construction meetings (safety review, contractor access, scheduling).
- Perform daily field reviews to verify quality, EHS compliance, schedule adherence, and contractor performance.
- Communication & Reporting – Provide weekly verbal updates to the project team.
- Create executive project summaries (approved format) and update biweekly.
- Review contractor/supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Meetings & Requirements – Attend mandatory weekly coordination meetings every Wednesday at 9am.
- Support projects through the targeted completion date of December 31, 2027

Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (primary requirement).
- Experience in facilities, space planning, construction, or similar project management environments.
- Strong communication and contractor oversight skills.
- Understanding of EHS, workflow scheduling, and quality standards.
- Access to systems, software, standards, and procedures.
- Departmental contacts for support and onsite coordination.
- Workspace, equipment, building access, and parking.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
