What You Will DoHot Section Module Center is looking to hire a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to support machining new parts in our Special Technologies business.
The selected candidate will work in a high technology environment with the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools. They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective process design. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility. Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 20% travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop tooling, process parameters, and controls to create a capable and stable process
- Develop, test, and implement programs to machine hardware (milling, turning, grind, etc.)
- Create work instructions for development hardware
- Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
- Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science or other related Bachelors’ degree
- Experience in CNC machine programming
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- CAD experience is required.
- Must be a US Citizen due to Government Contracts
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools:
Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and/or Red-X

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits depend on the business unit and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
