* What You Will Do:

** Hot Section Module Center is looking to hire a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to support machining new parts in our Special Technologies business.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high technology, advanced program environment incorporating the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools. They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective process design. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility. Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 20% travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
* Develop tooling, process parameters, and controls to create a capable and stable process
* Develop, test, and implement programs to machine hardware (milling, turning, grind, etc.)
* Create work instructions for development hardware
* Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
* Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science or other related Bachelors’ degree
* Experience in CNC machine programming
* 5+ years of engineering experience
* CAD experience is required.
* Must be a US Citizen due to Government Contracts

*** Proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools:
Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and/or Red-X

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines

*** The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
