V2500 Customer Technical Service (CTS) Engineer
Location:
PW100, 400 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06118, USA
Job Type: Onsite – Full Time
- Work directly with operators (American Airlines, United Airlines, British Airways, etc.) to resolve technical issues by providing on‑wing troubleshooting and support while engines are in shop.
- Collaborate with field offices, engine shops, customer support, engineering, suppliers and publications to address questions related to engine maintenance, hardware conditions, engine and event investigations, and general field inquiries.
- Monitor the fleet to identify emerging issues and raise escalation when required.
- Interface with Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering, Fleet Management Programs, MRO/Engine Overhaul organizations, Standard Practices, CIPTs, Chief Engineers office, Structures, and Performance Analysis groups to develop technical data for engine and hardware inspection/maintenance.
- Ensure prompt investigation closure and implement required actions; provide closure reports to customer, airframer and authorities.
- Incorporate improvements into the Engine Manual, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Troubleshooting Manual, Component Maintenance Manuals, and Services Bulletins based on field issues, customer feedback, One‑Time Concession history, and E‑Net cases.
- Provide technical material and/or onsite support for technical review meetings, regional forums, and world conferences (some travel required).
- Support overall delivery metrics such as On‑Time E‑Net case response rate, One‑Time Concession delivery, Investigation closure rate.
- Cover on‑call customer issues including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Understanding of V2500, PW2000/4000 engine hardware and processing of Engineering Authorization changes, Service Bulletins, Special Instructions and One‑Time Concessions.
- Familiarity with drafting and updating technical processes in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Troubleshooting Manual, and Engine Manual.
- Knowledge of airline engine maintenance practices.
- Experience in aftermarket or original manufacturing segments (engine shop, part repair center, supplier).
- Salary range: 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD.
