Overview
Under the Direction of the Chief Operating Officer / Deputy Chief Operating Officer this role will lead QVH in the delivery of the Trust’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) programme, providing training to staff across the trust, and support and advice across all parts of the organisation to ensure it is prepared for all emergencies. In addition, this role provides the specialist role of Tactical Advisor to Tactical Commanders during an emergency response.
The Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Officer will provide support to ensure the EPRR corporate responsibilities are met and provide assurance that the Trust complies with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, and any associated EPRR guidance, including NHS England’s (NHSE) Core Standards for EPRR.
Responsibilities- Monitor that coordinated systems are in place across the organisation to ensure core critical services are maintained in response to any reasonably foreseeable event.
- Work with the Local Resilience Forum and multi-agency partners.
- Review and support internal stakeholders with updating existing emergency and business continuity policies and plans.
- Design and deliver specialist EPRR training and advice.
- Utilise research to deliver on new and changing approaches in the delivery of training.
- Support the response to potential incidents or emergencies.
