Role Overview

As a General Cover Teacher, your role will involve close collaboration with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and School Administrators to maintain a secure classroom environment, encourage student engagement, and manage lessons in the absence of the regular Teacher. This position necessitates adherence to school policies, following prescribed lesson plans, and creating a dynamic learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Encourage classroom engagement and positive behaviour among students.
  • Administer examinations, quizzes, and oversee assignment management.
  • Lead lessons using provided materials and prescribed plans.
  • Supervise students during different periods, including recess and lunch breaks.
  • Organise and manage assignments for the returning Teacher.
  • Provide updates to the Head of School regarding significant student developments.
Requirements
  • Essential experience within educational settings with verifiable references.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate.
  • Professional demeanour with a strong commitment to education.
  • Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with young individuals.
  • Preferably possess a driving license, although not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using online tools for time sheets and role acceptance.
  • Passion for creating an enriching learning environment.
