About the role:
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and well‑organised person to join our Finance Department as Credit Control. You will play an important role in ensuring that student accounts are managed accurately and responsibly. You’ll handle a range of credit control and financial administration tasks, always maintaining clarity, professionalism, efficiency and excellent communication.
The ideal candidate must be/have:
- Has excellent written and spoken English.
- Communicates clearly, confidently, and warmly—especially when discussing payments.
- Manages time and workload efficiently.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and CRM databases.
- Has strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Brings a positive, respectful attitude when interacting with students.
- Ideally has experience in credit control, finance administration, or working within an education or student‑facing environment.
Duties will include:
- Managing student and customer accounts, ensuring payments are up to date.
- Contacting students regarding overdue balances and following up appropriately.
- Setting up, monitoring and managing payment plans.
- Processing payments and updating and maintaining financial records accurately.
- Investigating and resolving account queries in a clear and supportive manner.
- Working closely with the Student Support teams to ensure accurate account information.
- Preparing reports and maintaining documentation in line with financial procedures.
- Supporting the Finance Department with general administration when required.
- A negotiable salary between £26K - £30K per year, depending on skills and experience.
