Rhode Island's Premier Seafood Restaurant, Providence Oyster Bar, located on Federal Hill in Providence is searching for an Assistant Restaurant Manager!
Responsibilities- Support the Restaurant Manager by providing leadership support to the front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service and a positive, memorable dining experience.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and health department regulations.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of employees.
- With the Restaurant Manager and Chef, assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control for food, beverages, and supplies.
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and operational standards throughout the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively with ownership, staff, and vendors.
- Provide exceptional service and support to staff as needed.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Uphold the company's policies and procedures.
- All other assigned duties.
- Previous supervisory and/management experience
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with administrative responsibilities such as POS management, payroll, inventory, ordering, etc.
