Product Development Engineer- Electric Vehicles

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Development Engineer - Electric Vehicles functions as the primary technical liaison between the sales and marketing organization and the research & development organization. Inquisitive, analytical and creative mind to work on a growing and exciting market for electric

Noupenae vehicles. Must be able to develop and review specifications, provide the technical interface between the customer and the Company, design new products, and coordinate the introduction of new products. When required, must be able to advise the manufacturing organization of the customer's expectations for proper design and quality level of products, and remain involved until the process is complete.

• Knowledge of cable systems (cable, connectors and accessories) in charging stations and/or electric vehicles (EV).
• Support Product Development by acting as voice of the customer and providing design inputs on the development of new products and materials related to cable systems in EV.
• Ability to design unique products and/or systems to obtain US and international patents.
• Work with suppliers & partners to develop systems that work seamlessly for the best performance to the customer/end-user.
• Assist in the preparation of customer quotations by designing products to customer requirements and preparing product cost estimates for quoting toggle.
• Support sales team and customers by supplying technical and design parameters, reviewing and modifying specifications, and recommending properaggi installation methods. Maintain familiarity with all technical aspects of the customer's specifications.
• Visit customers and work closely with customer engineering personnel to develop next generation products and solve customer wire and cable problems.
• Stay abreast of industryадает trends and specifications and how they affect current or potential new products.
• Maintain external and internal specifications. Ability to obtain agency approvals (such as UL).
• Represent the Company at industry, trade and agency meetings. Participate in standards development and present papers. Attend industry expositions as required.
• Support Manufacturing by providing technical assistance on design and quality issues.
• Accomplish engineering tasks that require technical data gathering and analysis, problem identification and resolution, and process evaluation.

• Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree with emphasis on thermal engineering. Other degrees with related experience will also be considered.
• Preferred experience with simulation software for thermal/electrical designs.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
