Responsibilities
  • Perform expert level break‑fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices, dismantling, examining parts, adjusting components, repairing, testing electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, and reconditioning machine tools.
  • Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items; evaluate alternatives to improve cost or reliability and compile packages for retrofit or upgrade projects.
  • Independently perform maintenance per industry standards and create standards and instructions for altered or new manufacturing equipment.
  • Direct customer counterparts in maintenance optimization, reliability, and preventative maintenance processes.
  • Setup and operate multiple machining operations – lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools; perform welding tasks as required.
  • Comply with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes.
  • Document work in service reports, management systems and write technical manuals, operations and maintenance processes related to upgrades and automation integrations.
  • Provide assistance to lower‑level technicians, leadership and project teams; support training and development programs.
  • Alter, troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve in‑depth software/hardware and configuration problems.
  • Utilize advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data, observe trends and make recommendations.
  • Conduct on‑job training and lead technical programs for the development of customers and coworkers.
  • Follow all safety policies, rules, regulations and technical instructions; maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Associates degree with a technical focus and 12 years of related experience in a specific industry; or 15 years of experience in a specific industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; ability to analyze problems, synthesize solutions and perform repairs.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools, specialized tools and programming software as appropriate.
  • Experience with condition‑based maintenance techniques, precision mechanical alignments, maintenance of process equipment and automation integration.
  • Robust experience in programmable logic controllers, field device troubleshooting, maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems, and motion control devices.
  • Personal discipline.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach with arms, climb or descend heights that may require a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear. Occasional sitting and lifting/moving more than 50 pounds occur. Close vision and color vision are required. The employee may be exposed to outside weather and electrical shock.

Work is performed in a factory environment, typically very noisy; exposure to hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors may occur.

Pay Range

$43.92 – $56.19 USD
