Job Overview
The Field Service Representative role at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions involves providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance of technologies such as media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and more.
Responsibilities- Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and analytical testing to meet customer needs and contract specifications.
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
- Consult with customer management and operation teams and maintain inventory of spare parts, chemicals, and replacement parts.
- Create and maintain site paperwork, provide detailed technical summaries of work performed, and generate shipping and billing paperwork.
- Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site‑specific tests). Perform diagnostics, repairs, and calibration routines on instruments.
- Assist in service activities including parts refurbishment, calibration, inspection, repair, performance testing, customer communications, project assessment and execution, and telephone support.
- Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications and maintain compliance with all safety and environmental policies.
- Adapt to fluctuating schedules based on customer and business needs.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma / GED / Homeschool certification or international equivalent with 2+ years of service/maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong technical, mathematical, and customer‑service skills.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment, water chemistry, and safety.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to service instruments and handle electrical equipment.
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, basic database).
- Ability to use hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, problem‑solving, and able to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
- Works independently and remotely with project teams; demonstrates ability to learn company procedures quickly.
- Preferred:
Bachelor Associate degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation.
