Fooda is recruiting for Event Coordinators to join our team in markets across the U.S. to support our growing client roster.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants. This role will maintain and improve operational efficiency at each NY/NJ site.
- Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities: onsite setup, teardown, cleaning equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high-quality setup and customer experience.
- Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off.
- Handle driver responsibilities, delivering equipment and food to Fooda sites.
- Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operating procedures.
- Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards.
- Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching.
- Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer.
- Facilitate audits of restaurant event setup to ensure consistency and high quality.
- Ensure strict restaurant compliance and brand standards are met during pop-up events.
- Escalate issues to the Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve.
- Note:
Hours are primarily around lunch, but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm depending on the market and need. - Requires a car to travel to multiple locations daily.
- Weekend and night availability is a plus.
- You love building relationships with customers and enjoy customer service.
- You are friendly, high energy, and enjoy interacting with other people.
- You are tech-savvy and comfortable in a fast-paced startup.
- You are resourceful, calm under pressure, and capable of finding solutions.
- You are a strong communicator and self-starter.
- You are organized and detail-oriented. A Type-A personality is a plus.
- You know the local territory and get around efficiently in your own car.
- You are looking for a steady part-time job (20-25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility.
- Prior catering or serving experience is strongly preferred.
