Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 / year
DescriptionCME Associates is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our team. In this role you will apply your expertise in engineering principles to lead and manage projects independently. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, adapt standard practices to meet project needs, and utilize strong leadership skills to ensure successful execution within scope, schedule, and budget. The individual will engage with stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively.
Responsibilities- Designs a complete project, system, component, or process
- Prepares complete plans, specifications, and other project documents
- Designs and conducts investigations into specifications, design, and other engineering related tasks
- Analyzes and interprets test data to make recommendations
- Assigns tasks to and directs other technical and non-technical staff
- Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work
- Prepares scopes of tasks and schedules for assignment
- Assists with proposals to provide professional services
- Receives general direction on key objectives and project overview
- Receives guidance, when necessary, on unconventional/complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria
- Assists with mentored experience to direct reports and junior staff through providing guidance, explaining professional responsibilities, and reviewing work products
- Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments
- Communicates effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrates empathy and critical listening skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience required
- Bachelor of Science Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program
- Master’s degree or equivalent is a plus but not required
- Professional Engineer, preferred
- OSHA 30hr
- In-depth understanding of complex construction systems and techniques.
- Able to step in and assist project leadership with leading projects and managing larger teams on a temporary basis.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and integration of multidisciplinary approaches.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations affecting construction.
- Familiarity with software like MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- AutoCAD or Autodesk is a plus
