Easley, SC Salary Range : $20-$22/hr Position : CNC Programmer Description :
Opsource has partnered with a growing company in Easley, SC that is looking for experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join their team on first shift!
You will be working with a company who specializes in producing metal racks for automotive companies. This is a temp to hire position and when hired on you receive full benefits, health, vision, dental, quarterly bonuses and ample PTO!
Shift: 6AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday with overtime as needed.
Pay: $20-$22/HR
Essential Functions:
- Program and operate CMMs (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) to inspect complex metal parts and assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop accurate measurement routines.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for CMM equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and customer-specific quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in CMM programming and operation within a metal fabrication or precision machining environment.
- Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes such as welding, forming, and CNC machining.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
