Overview

Trainee Electrician role in Ealing / Staines and surrounding areas. Full Time 2-year fixed term contract. Salary: £30,609.06 per annum, plus company van & fuel card. 42.5 hours per week (08:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday).

Dominion and Mears Property Services, provides repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned replacements and fire risk assessment works. We successfully complete over 35,000 repairs, 2,200 electrical tests, 1,000 voids and fit 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually to 23,500 homes. With a wide range of upcoming projects, there are exciting times ahead as we continue to grow!

Trainee Electrician Duties
  • Assist with the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of domestic electrical systems under supervision.
  • Support qualified electricians with fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical installations and equipment.
  • Carry out basic inspection, servicing, and planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken.
  • Work as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Use relevant IT systems to record work and manage workload.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, identify hazards, and undertake risk assessments as required.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and building occupiers to minimise inconvenience during works.
Role Criteria
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Working towards or willing to enrol on NVQ Level 3 in Electrical
  • Gathering NVQ evidence (e.g. photos, assessor visits, portfolio work) (support will be provided)
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Commitment to completing all required training and assessments.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (If you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition)
  • Working towards or willing to enrol on Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
