Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Job Overview

We are looking for a 1.0 WTE Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Ealing. The role is based primarily at Jubilee Gardens Medical Centre, with opportunities to work in a variety of settings across the borough.

• Provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties in pre‑school, primary and secondary settings.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver universal, targeted and specialist support.
• Deliver training and workshops to parents and professionals, and participate in collaborative work with the Ealing Services for Children with Additional Needs (ESCAN).
• Engage in service development, quality improvement and research activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain flexible working arrangements, including split posts and bespoke schedules, to meet service needs.

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Speech and Language Therapist and membership of RCSLT.
• Postgraduate experience in assessing, diagnosing and managing a wide range of speech and language difficulties in children.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training, and to use sector‑specific assessment tools and therapeutic approaches.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with experience in teamwork and leadership.

• Eager to learn and progress within paediatric speech and language therapy.
• Capability to work flexibly and adapt to evolving service requirements.
