As a Part‑time SEN Teacher at our client's school, you will be responsible for creating and implementing tailored educational plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your role will involve collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure that every child receives the individualised attention and resources they require to thrive.

Your day will be filled with a diverse range of engaging and fulfilling tasks. You might start your morning by leading a small group session, where you'll work closely with students to build their confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and foster their love of learning. Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to work one‑on‑one with students, providing personalised support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

In addition to your direct work with students, you'll also be responsible for maintaining detailed records, communicating with parents and guardians, and participating in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and implement new strategies. With a salary of £200 per day, this part‑time role offers a competitive rate of pay and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Qualifications
  • A relevant teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), with a specialism in Special Educational Needs
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role, ideally in a secondary school setting
  • A deep understanding of the unique needs and learning styles of students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • A creative and innovative approach to lesson planning and teaching, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of your students
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up‑to‑date with the latest teaching methods and strategies
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting and empowering students with special educational needs
