DepartmentThe Economics Department is one of the strongest and most popular subjects in the Sixth Form. It aims to inspire students and provide opportunities to develop their potential through competitions such as the London Institute of Banking & Finance Student Investor Challenge, Tycoon Enterprise Competition, and the Royal Economic Society’s essay competition. Students also receive one-to-one support for university applications and independent research.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and inspiring Economics lessons to Sixth Form students.
- Support students’ university applications and independent research opportunities.
- Organise and run extracurricular activities such as finance competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and curriculum.
- Maintain the high academic standards and outcomes of the department.
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics with a passion for the subject and excellent subject knowledge. The ability to teach Maths would be beneficial but is not essential. Applicants should be good communicators capable of enthusing and inspiring pupils and colleagues, and should have exciting ideas about teaching Economics and its real‑world applications.
