Title:
Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing
Location:
West London – Ealing, London
Salary: £37,000 – £41,000 per annum
Contract:
Permanent, Full‑time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, supporting the delivery of responsive repairs and voids maintenance projects across a portfolio of social housing properties in West London. Key Responsibilities- Assist in the cost management and commercial delivery of repairs and voids works across social housing stock.
- Support with the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project costs and progress, reporting on any variances or issues.
- Help prepare and manage interim and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, including schedules of works, cost reports, and payment certifications.
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing or similar repairs/maintenance projects.
- Familiarity with SOR (Schedule of Rates) and housing maintenance contracts.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction‑related field (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Competitive salary of up to £41,000 per annum.
