Position Overview

The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting production gear and event materials across the country while supporting setup, tear‑down, and logistics on‑site. This hands‑on role combines safe driving, physical work, and teamwork to ensure smooth and successful events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate 26’ Class B CDL box trucks across national tour routes, ensuring timely and secure transport of production equipment.
  • Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, documenting vehicle condition and addressing maintenance needs proactively.
  • Adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations, maintaining accurate electronic logs and trip documentation.
  • Load and unload stage, lighting, and sound equipment with care; assist production staff during setup and teardown.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor and Production Manager on route planning, fueling, timing, and travel logistics.
  • Represent Spotlight professionally when interacting with venues, vendors, and team members on‑site.
  • Support event operations by assisting with local staff transport, supply runs, and other production needs assigned.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
  • Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR and current DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum 2 years’ box‑truck driving experience; experience in touring, logistics, or production transport preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work in varying conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Professional demeanor with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and event demands.
  • Mechanical awareness and capability to perform basic truck servicing (DEF, fuel).
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Travel is required during our event season (January–July), and team members must reside within reasonable proximity to a U.S. international airport or hub to accommodate frequent travel.
