Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Youth/Teen Leader I/II - Youth Camp
. Under the supervision of the recreation coordinator and/or Youth/Teen Director, Leaders plan and implement activities for school-age recreation programs for youth ages 6-11 during summer camp. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work weekends, holidays, and evenings. If you re reliable, responsible, and ready to create unforgettable experiences while keeping everyone safe, we d love to have you on board!

Salary

The hiring ranges are dependent on experience.

  • Youth/Teen Leader I: $17.06 - $19.44 per hour
  • Youth/Teen Leader II: $17.76 - $20.11 per hour

Responsibilities

Plan and implement activities for school-age recreation programs for youth ages 6-11 during summer camp. Ensure activities are engaging, safe, and age-appropriate. Adapt activities as needed to accommodate the needs of participants and maintain a fun, inclusive environment. Coordinate with the recreation staff to ensure program quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age for youth programs, 21 years of age for teen programs.
  • Must possess current CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certificates or be able to obtain them within 10 days of hire date.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and supply a current Motor Vehicle Record within 10 days of hire date.
  • Must possess current Standard Precautions certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work well with children. Background check and fingerprinting required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish desired.
  • Leader I: Three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of children ages 6-17, who are not related to the individual.
  • Leader II: At least 21 years of age, two (2) years of college, and six (6) months (910 hours) of verified experience, since obtaining the age of 18, in the care and supervision of children ages 6-17, who are not related to the individual.
