Position Title: Temporary Language Arts Teacher
Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 193/194 days per year / 8 hours per day

As a Language Arts Teacher at Eagle Point High School, you will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in English Language Arts that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. You will use differentiated instruction and re-teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners. Analyzing student data will inform instruction and allow lesson adjustments for whole-class and individual learning. You will scaffold rigorous and engaging lessons that inspire a love for literature and writing, integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies, and collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and instructional practices.

Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, you will support student growth and independence and participate in school-wide initiatives and professional learning communities. Opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities as a coach or advisor are available.

• Current Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in English Language Arts
• Experience with Standards-Based Teaching and Learning instructional practices preferred
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and student engagement strategies
• Ability to analyze and use student data to guide instruction and a passion for educating all students while ensuring equitable learning experiences
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration skills, and desire to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom
• Bilingual applicants in Spanish encouraged to apply
