Child Care Facility Cleaner

A to Z Building Blocks is looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. If you enjoy staying busy, following a structured routine, and seeing the results of your hard work each day, this role is a great fit.

As our Facility Cleaner, you play a vital role in supporting the health and daily operations of our child care center. Your consistency and attention to detail help ensure classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and shared spaces remain fresh, sanitized, and ready for children to learn and grow.

• Perform daily bathroom cleaning and restocking, including toilets, sinks, counters, floors, and hygiene supplies
• Sweep and tidy preschool classrooms during scheduled times while children are out of the room
• Clean and maintain entryways, hallways, and high‑touch surfaces throughout the building
• Wipe walls, clean windows and glass, maintain baseboards, and sanitize drinking fountains
• Complete weekly deep‑cleaning tasks such as toy sanitizing, garbage lid washing, bathroom deep cleans, and classroom supply restocking
• Support kitchen cleaning tasks including dishwashing, surface sanitizing, and end‑of‑day walkthroughs
• Follow a timed cleaning schedule and maintain efficiency throughout your shift
• Communicate with leadership regarding low supplies, maintenance issues, or safety concerns
• Perform additional one‑time cleaning tasks as assigned

Part‑time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable following a detailed cleaning routine
• Able to work independently and stay on schedule
• Strong attention to detail and task completion
• Committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for children
• Friendly and professional when interacting with families and staff
• Willing to follow all safety and sanitation protocols strictly
• Must pass a background clearance

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Move quickly throughout the building
• Go up and down stairs as needed
