Civil Craft Mechanic - EMT Mortenson

Mortenson is currently seeking a Mechanic that will be responsible for performing all functions needed for an onsite mechanic and maintenance of all heavy equipment and general equipment.

• Maintain shop equipment in a clean and orderly condition and report all deficiencies to supervisor.
• Perform inspections to ensure tested and repaired equipment meet performance specifications.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns of equipment to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
• Follow given operating instructions to maintain shop equipment operations.
• Maintain supplies.
• Call for repairs.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance.
• Complete and file all appropriate reports and paperwork.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum one (1) year of experience.
• Basic computer knowledge/skill.
• Current driver’s license.
• ASE Certified preferred.
• Strong teamwork orientation; detail orientation; strong organizational skills.
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
