Manufacturing Supervisor

Overview

Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for their climate controlled facility near Eagan MN (South St. Paul area). The Supervisor will have 15-18 Direct Report Operators and be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the production area, ensuring safety, quality, and production metrics are met in alignment with the organizational strategy. This shift is 3am - 3pm, working 4 days on and 4 days off.

This is a people-centric culture with low turnover. The current Supervisor is assuming a different position within the facility.

• Effectively mentor, coach, and oversee the work of the team to meet safety, operational, and quality needs.
• Input in establishing goals and metrics in alignment with organizational strategy and effectively communicates to team.
• Administer established policies and procedures and provide input for change as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with other organizational areas including Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Maintenance and Product Development departments.
• Ability to determine needs, solve problems and effectively report on issues.
• Assist in ensuring inventory and staffing levels meet demand.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of flexible packaging manufacturing process experience, with comprehensive knowledge of the products, principles and concepts
• 3+ Years of Supervisor / Line Leader Experience in Manufacturing
• Leadership experience with the ability to also work as a team
• Ability to perform moderately complex problem analysis & mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of Plastics or Paper conversion production processes
• Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
