We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAS Developer to lead the development and implementation of SAS-based solutions. This role involves managing data integrity, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS programming, data analysis, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAS programs and solutions
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of data through rigorous testing and validation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SAS developers
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources
- Collaborate with data analysts, statisticians, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAS programs, processes, and data structures
- Stay current with SAS technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in SAS programming and data analysis
- At least 3 years in a lead or senior role
- Proficiency in SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
- Experience with SAS BI tools and SAS administration (preferred)
- Familiarity with source control/versioning software
- Experience with Agile development lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with data warehouses and claims data
- Experience in healthcare or public health domains
- Exposure to SAS BI tools and administration
- Experience with Spec Flow for unit testing
