Nursing Adjunct Faculty - Part-Time Nursing Instructors

Overview

Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Eagan and Hennepin/Anoka campuses. This role is intended for individuals who are passionate about nursing and interested in sharing knowledge with students entering the field.

• Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned. Courses may be on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; teach and model appropriate learning skills and create an environment conducive to learning for a diverse student population.
• Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student-centered learning, including the use of live classroom tools to hold synchronous learning sessions with students.

• Part-time flexible campus and clinical-based scheduling, generally 10-15 hours per week per course.
• Competitive hourly rates based on course types and schedule; details are provided as you move through the hiring process and a schedule is confirmed.

• Master’s degree in Nursing required. Rasmussen University follows the requirements set by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and the states in which the campuses operate.
• 1 year of clinical experience as an RN required; 2+ years preferred.
• Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered.
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution.
• Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); applicable faculty immunization documentation required.

The current range for adjunct nursing instructors is estimated between $38.00 and $60.00 per hour, depending on duties, location, and experience.
