Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology Electrophysiology

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who specializes in Electrophysiology to join our group at Franciscan Health Munster located in Munster, IN. Interested candidate will join an extensive cardiology team. The Advanced Practice Provider will be joining a steady, well established cardiac group with excellent mentors and experienced cardiologists.

Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional desire to develop strong ties with patients, the community in which they serve and existing medical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with the physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

• Traditional full-time schedule;
  No holidays or weekends

• No call expectation

• Primarily outpatient work but may have some time in hospital (primarily stress test supervision)

• Outpatient volume: 12-20 patients/day

• Common Diagnosis & Procedures:

  • Abnormal Heart Rhythms

  • Abnormal EKG

  • Arrhythmia

  • Cardiac Arrest

  • Syncope

  • Congestive Heart Failure

  • COPD

  • Pacemakers

  • ICDs

  • Loop Recorders

• Equipment:

  • Device Programmer

• Device Systems:

  • Murj

• Master’s Degree Required

• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) – Required - or

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or nationally recognized certification – Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association - Required
