The Winsor House – Executive Chef
Island Creek Oysters (ICO) is a mission-based brand engaged in promoting the development of aquaculture’s role in our food systems—locally and globally. The Pros Only team at ICO oversees on premise guest experiences, including The Raw Bar and The Winsor House. The Raw Bar at Island Creek Oyster Farm is located right on Duxbury Bay and features an indoor space, outdoor patio and retail market.
Steps away from the working oyster farm, the menu features the oysters we grow, craft beer, great wine and inventive food concepts. The Winsor House is a destination restaurant, beloved by locals and visitors alike, located across the street from the main ICO campus. Food and service at The Winsor House highlight the bounty of Duxbury Bay and the Island Creek way of life.

- Ability to collaborate on all food programming that is authentic to ICO
- Oversee daily kitchen operations
- Hire and fire team
- Schedule BOH team
- Manage food and labor costs
- Oversee ordering and inventory
- Oversee culinary team training and execution
- Uphold all food safety requirements
- Maintain / renew all necessary food service certifications
- Coordinate maintenance on BOH equipment
- Recipe development & food science liaising for ICO branded conservas program
- Collaborate on food programming for future expansion into onsite events and catering
- Work collaboratively with Pros Management Team for the global good
- 3+ years previous Chef experience
- Passion, innovation, and adaptability with a balance of ego and humility
- A creative and resilient mind that can manage labor & food costs effectively
- Someone who can own their sphere of influence but also a consummate team player
- Ability to manage team of kitchen personnel while fostering a healthy and supportive work environment
- Acknowledgement of an intense summer schedule with lighter shoulder season workload
- Strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish the job at hand
- Highest level attention to detail/ organizational skills
- Upbeat, resilient personality
- Ability to adapt to change
- Execute food menu in line with established recipes and specifications
- Collaborate and communicate with Culinary Partner on menu development & overall operations
- Meet established goals for labor, cost of goods and food sales
- Continue cultivation of positive, attractive work environment for culinary talent
