Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/x)* – Labor and Employment, EMEA Job Description
As a Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/x)* – Labor and Employment, EMEA, you will manage labor and employment matters in EMEA in partnership with sophisticated business and HR leaders. You will provide strategic advice on employment related agreements, consultation processes, compensation and benefits, performance and disciplinary matters, and internal investigations. You will lead complex, cross‑functional, multi‑jurisdictional projects supporting Solventum’s business and HR priorities.
You will oversee employment‑related disputes and litigation with external counsel, develop and lead training on labor and employment law topics, manage outside counsel on high‑impact projects, monitor and proactively manage legal issues and developments, collaborate with internal teams to ensure a sustainable structure, and share knowledge and best practices.
- Managing labor and employment matters in EMEA.
- Providing strategic advice and support on employment‑related agreements, consultation processes, compensation and benefits, performance and disciplinary matters, and internal investigations.
- Leading complex, cross‑functional, multi‑jurisdictional projects supporting Solventum’s business and HR priorities.
- Overseeing employment‑related disputes and litigation with external counsel.
- Developing and leading training on labor and employment law topics.
- Strategically managing outside counsel on projects of significant impact and/or complexity.
- Monitoring and proactively managing legal issues and developments, through direct involvement or management of law firms.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a sustainable structure to support the business needs.
- Developing and sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues in support of a collaborative, flexible, and energizing team environment.
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Qualified to practice law in at least one EMEA jurisdiction (UK, France, or Germany preferred).
- Experience advising on employment matters in a strategic manner.
- Master’s degree in law from an accredited institution.
- Experience working in a sophisticated corporate legal department for a company operating in multiple countries.
- Proficient in English; other languages are welcome.
- Remote
May include up to 10% domestic/international.
