Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a growing & established group within an interesting sector based near Dursley, Gloucestershire to recruit a driven & dynamic Finance Assistant.

The role will report directly to the Financial Manager, supporting in a range of transactional finance duties with future progression opportunities as you develop throughout your accounting career.

This position is best suited to an AAT studier who really wants to learn, with a study package on offer.

• Bank reconciliations, monitoring daily transactions, processing supplier invoices, along with managing the purchase ledger processes.
• Prepare payments for review, support sales invoicing, compile financial data, along with credit card reconciliations.
• Process expenses, credit control processes, including managing outstanding balances, VAT checks, along with ad-hoc projects/duties to support the Finance Manager.
• Opportunity to support in further aspects of the accounts as you develop in the role with future succession planning.

• At least 12 months of experience in an accounting position, experience with financial systems, along with MS Excel skills.
• Studying AAT, very keen to learn and develop, along with having key communication skills to build internal/external relationships at all levels.
• Key attention to detail and accuracy, used to managing workloads to meet deadlines, along with having a positive/proactive working approach.
• Team player who can also use their own initiative, a key problem solver.
• Experience with Sage 50 packages would be advantageous, but not essential.

This permanent Finance Assistant role offers a salary of up to £29,000 per annum, dependable on experience, and is based near Dursley, Gloucestershire with a study package for AAT. Progression/development opportunities, in addition one study day per week to allow you to complete your AAT finance qualification, contributed pension scheme, health care perk box, along with further group benefits.
