Job Title:
Print Machine Operator – Training Provided
We are seeking an experienced Print Machine Operator to operate our client’s printing presses and associated equipment. The role will operate on a 12-hour four-on-four-off shift pattern. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in flexographic, lithographic or digital printing who are passionate about quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and changeover machines for new print orders using on-screen systems and technical job data.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain print quality throughout production.
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Complete all production and quality paperwork accurately and on time.
- Ensure all components required for each job are available and machine efficiency is maximised.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and operational state.
- Minimise waste and maximise productivity.
- Conduct proper handovers to the next shift operator.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the local and departmental areas.
- Adhere to company policies, especially health and safety regulations.
- Propose improvements in efficiency, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
- Experience in flexographic, lithographic or digital printing.
- Ability to perform machine setup and changeovers.
- Strong understanding of print quality standards.
- Basic mechanical maintenance skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in food packaging or BRC standards.
- Follow all site rules and responsibilities under the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
- Adhere to BRC dress code, PPE, and hygiene standards.
- Work to the requirements of the company’s Quality Policy and procedures.
- Suggest improvements to Quality systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all operating areas.
- Work flexibly across machines and roles as trained.
- Maintain performance and accuracy standards.
- Customer orders produced on time and to specification.
- Waste minimised and properly separated.
- Compliance with BRC and quality standards.
- Flexibility across machines and roles.
